The Oscar Schmidt guitar pictured and described here is a Gibson Super 400 style Hollow Body Electric Guitar. 

A sweet toned jazz box for the old school and new school player.

You'll get great sound from the large size Oscar Schmidt  Hollow Body Electric Guitar.  Washburn Eliminator Jazz Series pickups deliver warm, vintage tone enhanced by the maple top, back, and sides. Appointments include pearl inlays on the (I believe it is ebony) fingerboard and snazzy gold hardware. This guitar delivers looks and tone all out of scale with its low price of only $300.

This guitar is flawless and the overall quality is that of a much more expensive guitar. The action is great and it sound great plugged or unplugged. The overall looks of this guitar is a killer, it's just a beautiful thing. I would get questions and remarks every time I used to play it.  Have not played it for a while, it has been in a gig bag for a few years now, so I am selling it.

The rich tones makes it a perfect match for western swing, jazz or blues and it's ability to have bite makes it a fit for rock-a-billy and then it is able to get the twang for traditional country.  Also able to get some Ted Nugent style rock tones and feedback with this guitar.  It plays and sounds like a guitar valued at many times the price. 

It is a well made hollow body jazz guitar, but it is a pretty heavy guitar for being a "hollow body"!
