100% original Gibson SG Special - 2001. Serial 01851444. Excellent condition. Mahogany body and I believe a mahogany neck, (some have a maple neck based on my research). 3 way toggle, 2 Humbuckers, 2 volume, 2 tone. I believe the pickups are 490's. Rosewood board, dot inlays, dot side markers. Screened Gibson logo. 5 ply pick guard. No problems with this guitar. No breaks or repairs. I cannot see any "checking". Neck is perfect. 1 small very minor ding upper right of rear of head stock, see pictures. There are minor indentations from a belt on the back, more like very light swirls, but I was not able to photograph, they will not show up. Gibson 2001 SG Special, all original. This guitar is in great shape and plays well, but has spent a lot of time in it's case. That is why this guitar is in such great condition. The neck is a little beefier than other SG's I have played (all from the 70's), this is a late 50's style neck profile - comfortably thick and rounded, similar to a Les Paul. Not too thick, just right. This guitar has more of a small metal flake finish, as shown in the headstock pictures below. Flash pictures show several shades of blue and green. That is the uniqueness of this "Blue Teal Flip Flop" finish. It is a different color under different light conditions. Similar to the beautiful water of the Key's and Caribbean. Lots of shades of blue and turquoise. This guitar looks awesome on stage under the lights. More Information & Pictures
